I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! I really wanted to do this because there have been way too many kids in Calhoun County, AL, where we live, that have dealt with cancer. Of course, all kids with cancer matter, no matter where they live, but I've known of more in the last ten years than at any other time in my life. It has made me want to do something and once I read about the success of St. Baldrick's, I knew this was the thing I had to do.

And my honoree kiddo is Daniel Davis, but he is not fully signed up to St. Baldrick's yet so I can't put him on my page. He is a friend of my son, Shawn's - they've been friends since the 6th grade. Daniel is dealing with his 3rd reoccurrence, I believe. He has ewings sarcoma (can't bring myself to capitalize it).

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

I'm just going to try enjoy being bald! And I think I'm going to grow a mohawk and maybe a fauxhawk, too! Woohoo! If you could spread the word, I would love it! Thanks! I was going to do a video today (1/1/15), but I'm not feeling well so I look ucky. Maybe I'll make one tomorrow.
